Shift Lead Position Description:
This role will be the primary manager of the store during each scheduled shift, where you will be responsible for managing each shift’s team of Bakers in exceeding Crumbl's already high minimum standards of excellence in Quality, Customer Service, and Cleanliness. You will be responsible for leading the team to complete all production goals and other assigned tasks on each shift. You will also participate in meetings, take on tasks in support of the Assistant General Managers, and be supported in learning new things, and encouraged to advance your career with us. 

Shift Lead Responsibilities:
  • Perform as Manager on Duty, leading the staff to complete all assigned shift goals for mixing, customer service, and cleaning tasks
  • Enthusiastically take the lead in resolving customer service issues via phone, in the lobby, and online if needed with a passion for exceeding customer expectations
  • Monitor and address all policy enforcement with staff scheduled for your shifts, including reporting lateness, non-compliance, or other policies issues to the Assistant General Managers or General Manager
  • Train new staff and complete related documentation when assigned to you as part of the shift responsibilities
  • Execute all Opening, Shift-Change, and Closing procedures when scheduled, including use of app for checklists
  • Participate with full management team in developing and nurturing a strong and inclusive culture of integrity, responsibility and excellence
Shift Lead Minimum Requirements:
  • Previous food service leadership experience
  • Flexible availability including mix of days, nights, and Saturdays (We're closed on Sundays)
  • Obtain ServeSafe or equivalent within 30 days of hire
  • Completion of Basic Food Handlers certificate prior to start date if not yet ServeSafe certified or equivalent
  • Must have smartphone / tablet and able to use for required apps
  • Able to comfortably lift 50lbs and climb ladders
  • Reliable transportation (we are less than 1 block from Pentagon City Metro)
  • Able to pass background check and illegal drug screening
  • Ability to attend online meetings (paid) occasionally scheduled outside of shift hours
Shift Lead Ideal Additional Abilities:
  • Able to communicate in basic English and Spanish
  • Valid Drivers License and willingness to occasionally drive to pick up supplies and/or deliver a catering order
  • Available to work off-site events such as festivals and sporting events
  • Available to work overnight shifts
*Includes Guarantee Tip Minimum and Shift Pay Differential:
  • This role includes TIP SHARING, with a guarantee of at least $3.00 per hour on top of your base hourly pay rate.
  • Tip sharing is NOT capped, so when tips go over the minimum guarantee per hour, you earn that too
  • The minimum guaranteed tip amount is subject to change every calendar quarter
Typical Shift Options and Information:
  • Store hours are Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 10 p.m,  Friday - Saturday 8 a.m. - 12 midnight
  • Opening or Closing shifts begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and as late as 1 hour after closing times. (You will never be scheduled to close alone.) 
  • Overnight dough production shifts may be available
  • You will fill out a shift availability and preferences form for 6 months into future
